Specifications

A number of site-specific factors and interrelated variables must be considered to produce a specification and plan that assures the owner/engineer of receiving a quality pipe bursting project. These factors include:

• Existing pipe material and condition

• Geometry of the host pipe (diameter, bends, etc.)

• Access to the site

• Flow capacity and upsizing requirements

• Location and type of pavement, other utilities, and structures

• Original  trench geometry (width and depth)

• Desired replacement pipe material

• Other site conditions

We recommend that specific variations of base specifications be tailored by the engineer to meet the needs of each project.
